Bournemouth Airport focuses on leisure and holiday flights, with a strong emphasis on sun and beach destinations alongside some European city breaks. Transportation to the city centre is mainly via the More Bus 737 service, offering a limited, direct connection to Bournemouth Railway Station and town centre, or taxi, as the airport does not have a direct rail link.

Southampton Airport is exceptional for its connectivity, boasting one of Europe's fastest "plane-to-train" links at Southampton Airport Parkway railway station (just 99 steps from the terminal), offering rapid rail travel to the city centre and London Waterloo; its flight network focuses heavily on short-haul European city breaks like Amsterdam and Paris.
